Saturday, May 26th and Sunday, May 27th at 12:20pm
at Nitehawk Cinema (136 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211)

Secret Formula and Nitehawk Cinema present the 80’s classic Labyrinth with the Raspberry Brothers mocking it live in the theater (Mystery Science Theater 3000 style) and as a Sing-Along with the lyrics on the big screen for the whole audience to sing along to! Double the fun for the price of one!

Sing along to one of the craziest children’s movies ever made, including the weirdest tunes from Bowie’s catalog, Jim Henson’s acid-trip Muppets, and plenty of fart jokes. Mix ‘em all together and you’ve got a strangely compelling and psychedelic mess that is ripe for two Brooklyn comedians to mock live. Come ready to sing and view David Bowie’s giant package on the big screen!

Thurs, April 19th · 7:30pm Doors · 8:30pm Show · $10 Advance/$12 At Door
at The Bell House (149 7th St, Brooklyn, NY 11215)

It was a Hard Knock Life way before Jay-Z rapped about it. We old schoolers know the original orphan gangsta was Ann-E! So, Secret Formula is representing with The Annie Sing-Along! It’s the movie musical you know and love with all the words to the songs on the screen for you and all your friends to Sing-Along with! Slap on your curly red wig, throw on that red dress with the white collar, brush down that sandy yellow dog, and get yourself to Gowanus cause we’re turning the Bell House into the hottest orphanage in town…leapin’ lizards!

This movie has an amazing cast of stars, two of whom have April birthdays: Tim Curry (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) and Carol Burnett (The Carol Burnett Show), who gives an incredible performance as the cruel, drunk, and randy orphanage director/con-artist, Miss Hannigan. Let’s celebrate and sing about it!

Return to your slumber party days of youth as we gather once more to belt out hits like “Tomorrow,” “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” and of course “Hard Knock Life”. And, since Tim Curry is in it, we’ll have Rocky Horror Picture Show style interactive props and games for you to play throughout the movie along with themed cocktails (like the Dumb Dog, Rooster Juice and Warbucks Punch), drinking games (drink every time Miss Hannigan tells the kids to “shut up!”), tea time like in the Warbucks Mansion with tea and snacks, as well as contests including…

- Costume Contest - Shave your head to look like Daddy Warbucks! Dye your hair and get a perm to look like Annie! Dress up as your favorite character for a chance to win!

- Trivia Competition - Test your Annie knowledge against other superfans!

- Miss Hannigan’s Challenge - Think you’ve got what it takes to clean like an orphan? Well, grab a broom and prove it during this child labor inspired relay race. As Miss Hannigan says, “If this floor don’t shine like the top of the Chrysler Building, your backsides will.”

-Win prizes including free drinks and tickets to upcoming shows courtesy of The Bell House!

at Nitehawk Cinema
136 Metropolitan Ave between Wythe Ave & Berry St
Brooklyn, NY 11211

Due to a legal settlement that we’re not allowed to discuss Spoons Toons & Booze has to perform some community service. So, in honor of that special day that falls on the 20th of the 4th month, for one weekend in April (Sat. 4/21 and Sun. 4/22 at noon) we’ll be providing drug awareness education at the ultimate brunch for the kid in you: retro cartoons, delicious cocktails and a free all-you-can-eat sugar cereal bar, not to mention the Nitehawk’s excellent brunch menu.

Come vote for the cartoons to be screened! We’ve got over 80 cartoon series from the 60’s through the 90’s…and YOU get to choose! And on top of our already massive selection of cartoon series we’ll have a special menu of anti-drug episodes. Watch the ThunderCats, Jem and the Holograms, the Flintstone Kids, Garfield, the Smurfs, Captain Planet, the Tiny Toons, Bravestarr, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He-Man and more of your favorite cartoon characters fight for truth, justice and a drug-free future for our children (which was most of us when these aired…I’m not sure how well it actually worked in retrospect).

And that’s not all! We’ll also be screening “Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue”, the classic 1990 government sponsored anti-drug PSA that includes just about every cartoon character from the late 80’s and more! Only showed on TV once, we’ve got an exclusive copy smuggled from the Pentagon vault just for the STB crowd.

Satisfy your munchies with our free all-you-can-eat cereal bar filled with all the sugary, marshmallowy, fruity, chocolatey cereal you crave. Plus, we’ve added Cereal Shots - drop a shot of Baileys, Kahlua, or Rum in to booze up your cereal bowl! Speaking of booze, cure your dry mouth with our amazing White Russian menu including “The Sonny” (a White Russian with Cocoa Puffs in it!). And don’t worry our lactose challenged friends, we’ve got plenty of Soy Milk.

Sing-Along to classic cartoon theme songs. Compete in contests (including The D.A.R.E. Challenge) to choose which cartoons we watch and win sweet prizes from Nitehawk Cinema. Roll out of bed and head over to the Nitehawk for the best Saturday morning cartoon club in the tri-state region!

with live comedy over the movie Mystery Science Theater 3000 style!

Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th at midnight!

The Raspberry Brothers have one mission: to mock the crap out of Hollywood films. And with Friday the 13th fast approaching this month, the Brothers are going to risk incurring the curse of Camp Crystal Lake by making fun of one of its most infamous campers…Jason Voorhees! The Brothers will wield their microphones like bloody machetes, slashing through bad acting, terrible dialogue, and one totally emotionless and evil hockey-masked monster.

This is probably the worst of the Friday the 13th series, as Jason doesn’t really take over anything other than a boat and…Vancouver? Turns out the studio made a big cut to the film’s budget right before shooting, forcing the film to pull out of NYC and move to a remote studio set. At least the Muppets kept their titular promise to bite the Big Apple. Come to the Nitehawk for a night of food, booze, comedy and horror!

Two shows! Friday night April 13th @ Midnight and Saturday night April 14th @ Midnight!
