We here at Spoons Toons & Booze love the weeks before Christmas full of holiday cartoons on TV, but they don’t show the awesome XMAS specials we watched when we were kids anymore. We’ve solved this problem by
hosting our own Christmas Special filled with the holiday episodes of cartoons you loved as a kid like Doug, Batman the Animated Series, He-Man & She-Ra, The Flintstones, Freakazoid!, Animaniacs, The Smurfs, Rocko’s Modern Life, Garfield and Friends, Pinky & the Brain, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, Rugrats, The Real Ghostbusters, The Tick and many more!

 - Hosted by Santa Claus himself! Have your picture taken on Santa’s lap and send it to your parents!

- Over 80 cartoon series from the 40’s through the 90’s…and YOU get to choose what we watch!

- Special menu of Christmas themed episodes! Including the rare “He-Man & She-Ra: A Christmas Special”, only aired once in the 80’s and then banished to VHS obscurity it shows us how the good people of Eternia celebrated their very first Christmas!

- Free all you can eat cereal bar filled with all the sugary, marshmallowy, fruity, chocolaty cereal you crave. Soy and regular milk available!

- White Russian menu including “The Sonny”, a White Russian topped with Cocoa Puffs!

at Nitehawk Cinema
136 Metropolitan Ave between Wythe Ave & Berry St
Brooklyn, NY 11211

Due to a legal settlement that we’re not allowed to discuss Spoons Toons & Booze has to perform some community service. So, in honor of that special day that falls on the 20th of the 4th month, for one weekend in April (Sat. 4/21 and Sun. 4/22 at noon) we’ll be providing drug awareness education at the ultimate brunch for the kid in you: retro cartoons, delicious cocktails and a free all-you-can-eat sugar cereal bar, not to mention the Nitehawk’s excellent brunch menu.

Come vote for the cartoons to be screened! We’ve got over 80 cartoon series from the 60’s through the 90’s…and YOU get to choose! And on top of our already massive selection of cartoon series we’ll have a special menu of anti-drug episodes. Watch the ThunderCats, Jem and the Holograms, the Flintstone Kids, Garfield, the Smurfs, Captain Planet, the Tiny Toons, Bravestarr, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He-Man and more of your favorite cartoon characters fight for truth, justice and a drug-free future for our children (which was most of us when these aired…I’m not sure how well it actually worked in retrospect).

And that’s not all! We’ll also be screening “Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue”, the classic 1990 government sponsored anti-drug PSA that includes just about every cartoon character from the late 80’s and more! Only showed on TV once, we’ve got an exclusive copy smuggled from the Pentagon vault just for the STB crowd.

Satisfy your munchies with our free all-you-can-eat cereal bar filled with all the sugary, marshmallowy, fruity, chocolatey cereal you crave. Plus, we’ve added Cereal Shots - drop a shot of Baileys, Kahlua, or Rum in to booze up your cereal bowl! Speaking of booze, cure your dry mouth with our amazing White Russian menu including “The Sonny” (a White Russian with Cocoa Puffs in it!). And don’t worry our lactose challenged friends, we’ve got plenty of Soy Milk.

Sing-Along to classic cartoon theme songs. Compete in contests (including The D.A.R.E. Challenge) to choose which cartoons we watch and win sweet prizes from Nitehawk Cinema. Roll out of bed and head over to the Nitehawk for the best Saturday morning cartoon club in the tri-state region!

Tuesday, July 12 · 7:00pm (Doors at 6pm) · $5

at The Bell House (149 7th St, Brooklyn, NY)
www.thebellhouseny.com

We’re having a slumber party (minus the sleeping over part) at The Bell House and you’re invited! We may even order some pizzas if our parents let us. And what show would be better for a slumber party than Jem? Jem is excitement! Jem is adventure! Glamour and glitter, fashion and fame! Who could ask for anything more in a Saturday morning cartoon show?

After the success of G.I. Joe HASBRO hired the same ad agency who made that to create a girl version TV show to churn out tons of more toys. What came out of that noble endeavor? Jem and the Holograms! Which, despite its commercial aims, actually turned out to be an awesome TV show with an impressive catalog of original songs, some awesome late 80’s style animation and plenty of hilarious moments (including a drug awareness episode that can not be missed).

We’re watching our favorite episodes of Jem while enjoying the nights festivities including:

+Cereal bar featuring only the finest sugar cereals to recreate that Saturday morning cartoon experience
+Live band covering Jem and the Holograms and Misfits classics
+Jem trivia contest for the superfans!
+Starlight Music Karaoke Battle
+Sing-Along with selected songs subtitled on the screen for everyone to sing to
+Costume contest (come in you PJs or come ready to rock out as a member of the Holograms, Misfits or Stingers)
+Makeover station giving Jem or Misfits style make-up designs
+Science lecture on holograms…how do those earrings work?!
+Themed drinks including the Starbright, Jerrica Benton, The Stingers, The Starlight Girls and more!
+Prizes from The Bell House including free drinks and tickets to upcoming shows!
